Live Online Workshops

Live Online Workshops

An online Art4Healing® LIVE Workshop allows you to experience the Art4Healing method in a group and interact with a certified facilitator, just like you would in a classroom setting.

Now, you can experience the power of healing art wherever you are! The system is fun, interactive, and above all easy to use.

A Blank Canvas – Ready to be Filled!

The white represents the hope I have for the future, although it is unknown and yet to be written, I feel I’m looking at a blank canvas, ready to be filled!

Compliments to You All!

I really wondered before taking the workshop if a virtual workshop could be as powerful as an in-person class. I am thrilled to say that it was for me. I think that is a testament to Laurie’s methodology.  Compliments to you all for making this workshop very meaningful and so enjoyable!

Still have questions? We’ve got all the information you need to get started with Live Online Workshops here:

What can I expect in a Live Online Art4Healing® Workshop?

An Art4Healing® workshop allows participants to get in touch with inner feelings that many times words cannot express. A facilitator leads participants through a series of prompts as they respond by painting abstractly with acrylic colors on canvas. The method helps participants express their feelings in a safe way by associating a color with a feeling. Each participant creates three unique paintings by the end of a workshop.

Do I need previous experience?

NO! Previous art experience isn’t necessary! Some workshops require you to have taken a previous Art4Healing workshop, but you do not have to be an artist to create with us.

Do I need technical experience?

NO! Our live workshops are based on Zoom, a secure, easy to use, industry leading platform. If you have experience browsing, sending e-mails, and know basic computer or phone operation, you’ll be fine! Plus, we’re always here to help if you have problems getting started.

What supplies do I need?

Just Getting Started?

You’ll also need a stable Internet connection. In general, a broadband connection of at least 5 Mbps is ideal.

For more Zoom system and bandwidth requirements, see here:

Desktops: Windows / Mac OS / Linux

Mobile devices: iOS, iPadOS, and Android

How do I get started?

Join an Online Workshop in three easy steps!

  1. Visit our Calendar page.
  2. Select the Workshop you’re interesting in attending.
  3. Click Register.

Our Qgiv system will collect your payment.

You will receive a confirmation e-mail with information on how to register and attend the Zoom workshop. When it’s time for the workshop, click on the link in the e-mail to join the workshop or join by one of these methods.

How can I test my connection?

To ensure a trouble-free connection when it’s time for a workshop, we recommend you join a test meeting.

You’ll make sure your microphone and camera are working and your connection is fast enough. Testing your connection also configures your device with the Zoom client so you’ll be ready to enter a workshop.

Testing your setup is easy. Zoom provides a test meeting that you can join. All of the instructions can be found here:

How long are the workshops?

Each online workshop is 2 hours long unless otherwise noted.

Who leads the workshops?

All workshops are led by certified Art for Healing facilitators. Although workshops are therapeutic, we are not art therapists. Participants are free to create and express without facilitator interpretation.

What do workshops cost?

Each workshop is $39 unless noted otherwise. All proceeds from our live online workshops go to supporting our Healing Art Box Program for underprivileged youth.

What should I wear?

Please wear comfortable clothing you wouldn’t mind getting paint on. Paint in a comfortable, quiet, well-lit location where you don’t mind the occasional splatter.

We'll see you soon in a live online workshop with us!
